06/011 - Finishing up new Fred Eaglesmith disc. A co-production. He and band recorded around one microphone to a mono tape deck. A bit, um...intense.

Matt Anderson and Mike Stevens have just won two East Coast Music Awards in the Best Vocalist and Best Blues recording categories for their disc, "Piggyback" (recorded and mixed by Scott at the cottaGe last year).

Ian Tamblyn received a Canadian Folk Music Award in the Best Songwriter category for his disc,"Gyre"( coproduced, recorded and mixed by Scott at the cottaGe last year).

Hi All;On Saturday, Sept 11 please come to visit Guelph's 1st Nuit Blanche - an all night (!!) Arts celebration.
Jeff Bird and I are premiering our film oustallation, 3 Parades, in the abandoned mill behind Guelph Youth Music Centre from sundown to sunrise.
There are a beautiful array of other performances scheduled throughout the downtown area. We're really looking forward to the whole gumbo.

Larry Towell's short film, "Indecisive Moments" recorded at Scott's studio, has won an Achievement in Film making Award from the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.

Stephen Fearings' cd, "Yellow Jacket" recorded at Scott's studio, wins a Canadian Juno award ("Best Roots Recording" category).
It's the second cottaGe recording to actually win the prestigious paper weight... Fred Eaglesmith's "Drive In Movie" being a previous Roots champ.
